Rainy wedding

Well it was a bit of a drizzley day, but these pros had a backup plan in place! And we even managed a couple outside anyway without getting soaked.  Thanks for being up for anything guys!

Beautiful evening, beautiful family

This was just a gorgeous night, somehow we even lucked out and there weren't a ton of mosquitoes. AND somebody managed to burn some energy off, so hopefully he slept well!

Fall colors

Oops, I might have picked the only place in the city not completely painted yellow and orange in fall colors for family pictures with these guys. And what's the one thing she requested? Fall colors. Oops.

We managed to find a few spots, and I think this great weather might have been a decent compensation!

We had pictures the other night on the prettiest day of the year!!! We found some early yellow leaves, a beautiful sunset, and 100,000 mosquitoes. Thanks for toughing it out guys! I promise to photoshop out any obvious bites!

Summer

I went camping and I'm so sad. The camping was great (cabin camping is the way to go!) but we planned it for the end of summer, and that means now is the End of Summer.

Luckily the weather is holding up for a week or so so I can pack in all my fun summer things before they're gone. We biked to the pool one more time this weekend. Maybe one more time to the Railway Museum, and Kinsmen Park.

But a bunch of the fun stuff I want to do are fall things too, so I can't be too sad.  Corn maze, fireworks festival, picking garden vegetables, school shopping. And the light that comes when shadows are long making the remaining greenery just glow. I literally gasped looking at just the parking lot this morning with the light filtering through the trees.  It is the prettiest time of year.

To help me get over my melancholy and give summer one last hurrah I'm planning a family session day!  Unfortunately this fall I'm also having surgery and will be out of commission for most of October. So to pack the most pictures in to the least time I'm setting up September 11th around Kinsmen Park (and the river, and other areas around there), and offering an hour session with either a disk of pictures or a print package for $150.  Let me know if you wanted to book!

Getting Real

So I'm very nervous. I've decided to start being more organized and professional about this silly little hobby of mine. Hence a real website! bright-side-photography.com  I think 4 years of saying I'm "just starting out" is enough!

Christmas Present Photos

These are my sister's family and inlaws (is there a name for that? Probably not). They gave Nana a gift certificate for pictures and we tried to time it with some pretty apple blossoms. I think we were literally 1 day early for full bloom, but everyone's smiling faces made up for it (awww...).

The Christmas Baby

What a sweetheart this little dude was. Tricky as all babies are to get into a deep sleep, but goodness gracious was it sweet when he did!!

I gotta know if people are going to have babies around holidays so I can get some more cute props. Luckily this momma had a couple things.
